Medical Practice Patient Representative - Poughkeepsie Practice - Poughkeepsie, NY

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
• Ensures accuracy of patient's information, including demographics and insurance.
• Answers phones, routes calls, takes messages, and assures accurate communication in both verbally and via the EMR system.
• Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
• Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols.
• Maintains and models the Organizational values.
• Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposit.
• Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
• Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

• Ability to travel between practices as needed.
• Education Required: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent 1 year customer related experience required.
• Preferred: 1+ years of healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Salary Range: $18.13 - $34.50 Hourly
