We are seeking a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Medical Physicist to join our dynamic team at St. Luke's Cancer Institute in Boise, Idaho. Requirements

• Master’s degree in Medical Physics or a related field
• 2 years of experience in radiation oncology physics settings or completion of a CAMPEP accredited residency
• Certification in Therapeutic Radiological Physics (TRP) or Therapeutic Medical Physics (TMP) by the ABR or ABMP

Qualifications

• Ensures all treatment machines and radiation sources are correctly calibrated according to accepted protocols
• Maintains radiation safety requirements in collaboration with the hospital Radiation Safety Officer
• Develops and maintains a Quality Assurance (QA) program
• Establishes treatment planning and dose calculation procedures and ensures their accuracy
• Oversight of treatment planning and radiation dose distributions in patients undergoing treatment
• Ensures policies and procedures adhere to good radiation oncology practices, delivery of treatment, radiation safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance
• Performs regular maintenance and repairs on treatment machines and documents any alterations
