Medical Oncologist - Locum Coverage

About the role

This outpatient medical oncologist role involves providing clinic coverage on designated days, including patient management, documentation, and treatment planning using the EPIC EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of 15-18 adult patients daily in an outpatient setting
• Provide care during scheduled clinic days and participate in night call coverage via phone
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all patient encounters and treatment plans
• Collaborate with a support team consisting of an RN, MA, and APP
• Provide variable treatment types based on patient needs

Requirements

• Active Indiana medical license required
• Board certification is negotiable
• Ability to work independently in a clinical setting with adult patients
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with EMR systems
• Comfort with call responsibilities and outpatient oncology care
