Medical Office Associate I, Full Time, Days (8a-4p), AMG- Pediatrics, Warren & Morristown, NJ
About the role
Responsible for general receptionist and registration duties in a Pediatric and Adult Orthopedic office setting.
Responsibilities
- Manages phones
- Greets patients and handles patient check-in and check-out
- Schedules and confirms appointments
- Verifies insurance coverage, completes forms, and collects co-pays
- Balances cash and maintains monthly totals
- Maintains schedule in EMR system, processes pre-certs/authorizations, referrals, and medical records releases
- Other related duties as assigned
- Coverage at two Morristown locations as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Prior administrative experience in a physician practice strongly preferred
- Knowledge of computerized scheduling and EMR systems a plus
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer and employee focused
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
