About the role
Responsible for general receptionist, registration, and billing duties in a physician office setting.
Principal Accountabilities
- Manages phones
- Greets patients
- Schedules/confirms appointments
- Enters demographics & patient information
- Verifies insurance coverage, completes forms, collects co-pays
- Balances cash
- Maintains schedule in EMR system, processes pre-certifications/authorizations & referrals, and medical records releases
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Preferred: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer and employee focused
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
