Medical Office Assistant
Position Overview
The Medical Office Assistant serves as the customer service liaison to each practice, greeting patients courteously and respectfully with exceptional communication skills. Their primary role involves providing seamless experiences to patients while adhering to UHS policies for registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and billing.

Compensation Range
$17.19 - $24.42 per hour, depending on experience
Sign-on Incentive
Candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $2,500.
Education/Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program or direct patient care experience, including but not limited to collection of patient information and data, patient interactions, or assisting physicians with procedures in a medical office or hospital setting.
Previous experience in a walk-in, primary care, or specialty care setting
Certified medical administrative assistant (CMAA)
Strong clerical background with excellent computer skills
License/Certification
Documentation of current CPR certification required within 1 week of start of employment.
