About the role

Conducts and supports laboratory testing to aid in diagnosis and treatment, ensuring accuracy and proficiency in all procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and report testing for waived, moderate, and high complexity procedures following SOPs.
  • Handle specimen collection, labeling, and processing with strict adherence to policies.
  • Monitor quality control, troubleshoot equipment issues, and maintain instrumentation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and participate in competency assessments.
  • Operate laboratory systems, review pending work, and manage supplies efficiently.
  • Educate staff and support safety protocols, maintaining a clean, safe environment.
  • Communicate critical results and support customer service and department goals.
  • Assist in training new team members and perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or related field; certification (e.g., MT/MLS) required.
  • Current certification and licensure; no specific experience required.
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality assurance, and instrumentation.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and computer skills.
  • Ability to promote professional growth and comply with regulatory standards.
