Medical Laboratory Technologist

Role: Medical Lab Technologist in the microbiology department, responsible for performing laboratory testing, operating instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality. Key Responsibilities Evaluate specimen acceptability based on laboratory criteriaPerform routine and complex testing procedures following protocolsOperate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentsPrepare, test, and evaluate reagents and quality control materialsDocument maintenance activities and report test results accurately Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Science, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical TechnologyAt least one year of clinical testing experience or MLS degreeProficiency with computers and laboratory information systemsAbility to pass a standardized color blindness testCertification such as ASCP or AMT is preferredStrong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
