Medical Laboratory Technologist

About the role

Medical Lab Technologist responsible for performing routine and complex laboratory testing, ensuring specimen quality, and maintaining laboratory instrumentation. Determine specimen acceptability and function as a generalist across hospital lab departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform and troubleshoot technical procedures according to SOPs
• Monitor, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment
• Make technical decisions, prepare reagents, and evaluate controls
• Report accurate test results to support patient care
• Conduct preventive maintenance and quality control
• Assist with specimen processing and manage supplies
• Maintain safety protocols and use PPE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science or Medical Technology
• ASCP or AMT certification
• Preferred: 1+ years of clinical lab experience

• Attention to detail, multitasking, and ability to work independently or in a team
• Ability to pass color blindness test, work overtime if needed
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable working with minimal supervision
