About the Role

Join TriHealth as a Medical Laboratory Technician – Registered (Split Shift) and play a vital role in delivering accurate, high-quality diagnostic results that directly support patient care across our community. You’ll work with advanced technology across multiple lab disciplines—Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Transfusion Services, and more—while maintaining the highest standards of precision and safety. This position performs a full range of laboratory tests, confirms the accuracy of test results, and reports findings to doctors, pathologists, or other physicians. You may work in any major area of the laboratory, including Transfusion Service, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry, and Fibrinolysis.

You’ll operate and maintain laboratory instruments, utilize the laboratory computer system, and adhere to established policies and procedures under the supervision of a general supervisor or medical technologist. Direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance, or result reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of laboratory tests across multiple disciplines.
  • Confirm accuracy of test results and report findings to physicians.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of laboratory instruments.
  • Utilize the laboratory computer system in performance of duties.
  • Adhere to established policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards, including documentation.
  • Prioritize, organize, and handle a high quantity of work with accuracy and completeness.
  • Demonstrate judgment, problem-solving skills, and procedure knowledge.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree (Required).
  • Up to 1 year of clinical experience as required by the MLT program at a hospital (Required).
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician from ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathologists) or AMT (American Medical Technologists) upon hire (Required).
