Medical Laboratory Technician Part Time - 3rd Shift

About the role

Join IDEXX, a global leader in veterinary diagnostics, as a Part Time Laboratory Technician. You'll contribute to enhancing pet care through innovative diagnostic tests and support veterinarians in diagnosing and treating animal illnesses.

Responsibilities

• Use automated analyzers, microscopes, and other diagnostic tools to perform analyses on blood, urine, fecal, and pet biopsy samples.
• Set up and run lab tests, then read and release results according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Specialize in an assigned department and participate in on-the-job training.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A 2-, 3-, or 4-year degree in a Science-related field is preferred, but not required.
• Experience setting up, running, and reading lab tests, and operating laboratory equipment.
• A positive attitude and a desire to bring energy to the lab.
• Able to work in a team, concentrate on details, and work reliably and precisely.
• A great sense of team spirit and responsibility.
• The ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including standing and sitting for extended periods, phone & computer use, extended reach, lifting up to 50lb, and specific vision abilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a laboratory setting, especially as a Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, CVT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT or MT).
• Positive attitude and willingness to bring energy to the lab.
• Ability to work in a team and concentrate on details.
• Physical capabilities to meet the demands of the job.
