Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of laboratory tests, confirm accuracy of test results, and report findings to doctors, pathologists, or other physicians.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of laboratory instruments.
  • Utilize laboratory computer systems in performance of duties.
  • Maintain strict adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Work under the supervision of a general supervisor or medical technologist.
  • Direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance or result reporting.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Technology, Chemical or Biological Science.
  • 1 - 2 years’ experience clinical in a related field (Preferred).
  • American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) Required.
