Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of laboratory tests, confirm accuracy of test results, and report findings to doctors, pathologists, or other physicians.
- Operate and maintain a variety of laboratory instruments.
- Utilize laboratory computer systems in performance of duties.
- Maintain strict adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Work under the supervision of a general supervisor or medical technologist.
- Direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance or result reporting.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Technology, Chemical or Biological Science.
- 1 - 2 years’ experience clinical in a related field (Preferred).
- American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) Required.
