About the role
Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin! We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) – Clinical Labs.
Responsibilities
- Perform moderately complex diagnostic tests and limited high complexity testing.
- Perform preventative maintenance on select lab equipment or instruments.
- Perform troubleshooting on select laboratory equipment or instruments as a scientist.
- Promote a culture of safety for patients through proper identification, reporting, documentation, and prevention of medical errors in a non-punitive environment.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology required, or education and training equivalent to an associate degree including 60 semester hours, which must include either 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses or 24 semester hours of science courses.
- One year experience as Medical Laboratory Technician or relevant laboratory experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician by the board of American Society of Clinical Pathologists or similar agency preferred.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Benefits
- This position may be eligible for up to a $4,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE).
- Additional components of compensation may include: Evening and night shift differential, Weekend differential.
Pay
- Up to a $4,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE).
Schedule
- 50% FTE, day/evening/night shift.
- Every Thursday and Friday and every other Wednesday.
- Start times ranging from 7:45AM – 9:00AM and end times ranging from 4:15PM – 5:30PM.
- Rotating weekend on-call shifts.
- Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
