Medical Laboratory Technician

Position Summary

The full-time Medical Laboratory Technician position is available for our Medical Clinic in the Seattle, WA area. We are seeking a bilingual candidate fluent in English and Spanish. The ideal candidate should possess excellent customer service skills, a positive and professional demeanor, and the ability to multitask effectively. They will support the care team by ensuring patient flow and delivering high-quality patient care in a safe and timely manner. The MLT will perform phlebotomy, diagnostic laboratory tests, x-ray procedures (with DOH WA State certification), and electrocardiograms-spirometry (after training). They must recognize unexpected results and instrument malfunctions and take appropriate actions. Proficiency in electronic health records, Microsoft Office products, and knowledge of X-rays are preferred but not required. Bilingualism in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

Qualifications and/or Requirements

• Associate’s degree in biology, chemistry, clinical laboratory, or physical science
• OR at least 50 weeks of training in a military laboratory setting as a Medical Lab Tech
• US Certification/license required
• Minimum 1 year experience in a hospital or clinic setting desired
• Proficient in EHR, PM Excel, and other Microsoft Office products
• Knowledge of X-ray is a plus but not required
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required
