Medical Laboratory Technician

About the role

The Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing accurate and timely laboratory testing, reviewing and interpreting clinical data, maintaining documentation, and ensuring quality control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Congduct routine and stat tests within established turnaround times
• Resolve pending results
• Assist with regulatory compliance
• Take corrective actions when results are outside guidelines
• Collaborate with team members and seek guidance from supervisors or medical directors as needed

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate Degree in Science
• Florida Technician License or ability to obtain one
• Preferably certified (e.g., ASCP)
• Knowledge of laboratory protocols
• Attention to detail
• Teamwork
