About the Role

The Senior Blood Bank Medical Laboratory Scientist supports transfusion medicine through advanced blood bank testing, antibody identification, patient investigations, and donor services.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret serological tests.
• Investigate complex antibody cases.
• Maintain consultation reports.
• Ensure quality control and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as a technical resource for hospitals, physicians, and healthcare partners.
• Communicate test results and manage blood product orders.
• Assist with mobile donor collections.
• Conduct donor screening and blood collection.
• Provide post-donation support and create positive donor experiences.
• Act as Shift Coordinator and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Mentor staff.
