Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)

Key Responsibilities

• Performs high complexity laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy, quality and timely reporting of patient results
• Adheres to quality control standards, performs instrument maintenance and troubleshoots assay and equipment issues
• Documents testing, maintenance and corrective actions in accordance with laboratory policies and regulatory requirements
• Utilizes laboratory information systems to manage orders, results and communication effectively
• Collaborates with team members to support workflow, training and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• BS in Biology, Chemistry or a related scientific field required
• One year of recent and relevant experience preferred
• Registered Medical Technologist (Generalist), Medical Laboratory Scientist (Generalist), or Medical Laboratory Technician (Generalist) with American Society of Clinical Pathologists required
