About the role
This PRN Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician role provides flexible part time hours of approximately 6 to 8 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Perform lab testing across core areas including chemistry, hematology, and urinalysis
- Collect and process specimens including phlebotomy
- Ensure accurate and timely results with quality control standards
- Communicate critical results with providers and nursing staff
- Support lab operations and equipment maintenance
Requirements
Competitive hourly pay based on experience and certification, with a general starting range of $23–$31/hour. Higher rates may be considered for candidates with strong generalist experience, blood bank competency, or PRN availability for critical coverage.
Qualifications
- Current Michigan Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician license
- Experience in clinical laboratory settings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
