About the Role
Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Laboratory Technician to join our Core Laboratory team. ASCP certification is not required!
Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory testing on a variety of specimens and demonstrate competency within the full scope of laboratory procedures, including chemical, microscopic, bacteriologic, molecular, and transfusion medicine.
- Analyze information, monitor quality performance, and take action to ensure the efficient delivery of accurate and timely laboratory test results and services.
- Develop and implement laboratory procedures, as well as maintain quality control in the laboratory.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including blood sampling, specimen collection, processing, and analysis.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- ASCP Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Certification is preferred but not required.
Schedule
- Part time, 64 hours biweekly (0.8 FTE).
- Night shifts (10p-6:30a) with every fourth weekend rotation.
- Full-time orientation.
Pay
- Starting pay of $29.70 and up, based on your years of experience.
- Applicable evening, night, and weekend shift differentials.
