Medical Laboratory Scientist - Referrals Department

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes and organizes specimens for timely testing.
• Performs requested laboratory procedures and evaluates results.
• Maintains quality control, proficiency testing, and instrument upkeep.
• Ensures positive patient identification to minimize errors and adverse outcomes.
• Supports ongoing learning and completes assigned goals.
• Provides instruction to personnel and students in medical technology as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology from an accredited program.
• Clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Basic computer literacy required; advanced skills preferred.
• National certification aligned with federal and state regulations required; ASCP certification preferred.
