We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist to perform and interpret routine and specialized laboratory tests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities include preparing specimens, performing quality control, calibrating equipment, troubleshooting, and maintaining documentation. The role involves adhering to safety protocols, participating in performance improvement initiatives, managing supplies, and communicating effectively with healthcare professionals and patients. Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or related fields, along with a current state license and generalist or discipline-specific certification (e.g., ASCP, AMT, AAB). Key skills required: proficiency in computer applications, strong communication, analytical problem-solving, good judgment, and interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently, adapt to various patient populations, and maintain confidentiality is essential. Perform and analyze laboratory tests accurately and independently.Maintain quality control, troubleshoot equipment, and document results.Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards.Participate in performance improvement and inventory management.Communicate effectively with team members and patients, respecting privacy and cultural differences.Adhere to safety protocols and handle biological specimens with care, understanding occupational risks. This role requires physical activity, including lifting and standing for extended periods, and may involve exposure to biological hazards.
