About the role
North Alabama Shoals Hospital is a 198-bed general acute care facility part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. As a Medical Lab Technician, you'll be part of a team dedicated to making communities healthier.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine laboratory tests in various sections of the laboratory.
- Reports test results accurately.
- Conducts instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Performs quality control testing to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintains supplies and equipment necessary for testing.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: Associate's Degree in Science required.
- Certification: MLT certification through ASCP or AMT preferred.
Qualifications
- Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting, computer/data entry, and instrument handling; occasional standing, walking, and light lifting.
- Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of common testing procedures, instrument maintenance, quality control testing, and ability to maintain supplies and equipment.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 per hour based on experience.
Schedule
Monday - Thursday, 12:00 - 22:30.
