Medical Lab Technician / Medical Technologist | Laboratory - 2nd Shift
What You'll Do
- Performs laboratory tests in designated clinical areas
- Reports panic values appropriately
- Performs quality control according to protocol
- Performs calibration according to procedures
- Performs daily, scheduled, and periodic maintenance on various equipment
- Promotes excellent customer service throughout the facility
- Affords assistance with training of students from various colleges and technical schools
- Documents quality control appropriately
- Affords assistance with the development of departmental policies and procedures
- Helps Medical Assistants as needed
- Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Bachelors of Science
- Completion of post-secondary program in medical laboratory technology
- Training in Armed Services as Medical Laboratory Technician
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certified as Medical Laboratory Technician (American Society for Clinical Pathology) preferred
