About the role
The laboratory is seeking a full-time Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Technician, preferably with ASCP certification or an equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Help diagnose and monitor disease and wellness through testing on blood and other body fluids.
- Perform phlebotomy and testing in various areas of the CLIA certified laboratory, including hematology, chemistry, immunochemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, immunohematology, and microbiology.
- Work on a rotating schedule including day, evening, and night shifts.
- Be prepared to work on holidays and additional shifts as needed.
Requirements
- Two years of experience preferred, but new graduates are also accepted.
- A B.S. degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, completion of an A.S. degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS accredited program, or satisfactory completion of U.S. Military training as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
- ASCP/AMT certification is preferred.
