Job Summary
We are seeking a Medical Lab Technician to ensure high quality, efficient care for our patients.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from a NCCLS accredited Medical Technician program
- Hospital laboratory experience preferred
What You Will Do In This Role
- Handle specimen processing and pre-analytic inspection
- Perform various laboratory tests on patient specimens
- Evaluate test results and report/enter/verify them in the Laboratory Information System
- Perform and evaluate periodic quality control
- Evaluate new and/or modified procedures, reagents, and instruments
- Troubleshoot all instruments as directed
- Participate in hospital initiatives and department goals
