Medical Lab Technician

About the role

Performs routine laboratory tests in various sections of the laboratory. Reports to the Director of Laboratory Services.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a member of the clinical laboratory team.
  • Assists in maintaining a safe and efficient laboratory environment.
  • Ensures compliance with all laboratory policies and procedures.
  • Participates in quality assurance activities.

Requirements

  • Education: Associate's Degree in Science required.
  • Licenses: Certifications: MLT certification through ASCP or AMT preferred.

Qualifications

  • Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting, computer/data entry, and instrument handling; occasional standing, walking, and light lifting.
  • Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.
  • Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.
