Medical Lab Scientist I (Per Diem) - Automated Testing Lab

About the role

Responsible for performing complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells, and tissues. Identify bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms, analyze chemical content of fluids, cross match blood for transfusion and organ transplantation, and aseptically prepare cells for use in cellular therapies. The results of these tests are used in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological science, medical laboratory science, or equivalent.
• If currently certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist, an Associate degree in the above fields may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree.
• If not currently certified, must be eligible for ASCP, AMT, or equivalent board certification exam and must obtain certification within 18 months of hire.

Schedule

PRN (as needed) position with a shift from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Eligibility for shift differential pay based on company policy or union contract. Background check required for all selected individuals.
