Role Responsibilities • Greet and assist patients in person, by phone, or electronically• Collect and verify patient demographics, insurance information, and medical history• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments as needed• Register new patients and update existing patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations or referrals• Explain intake forms, consent documents, and office policies to patients• Ensure all required documentation is complete before appointments• Answer patient questions and direct them to the appropriate department when necessary• Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and other privacy regulations• Process incoming referrals and medical records• Monitor appointment schedules to minimize delays and improve patient flowQualifications Required • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Assisting, or a related field preferred• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a medical office, healthcare, or customer service environment preferred• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems• Excellent customer service and patient relations skills Preferred • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems• Strong verbal and written communication skills• Excellent customer service and patient relations skills
