Medical Imaging Tech Aide-Per Diem

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining patient and departmental flow within the imaging department
• Provide compassionate, appropriate, and accurate patient care support
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, families, physicians, technologists, and staff
• Verify patient identity using two patient identifiers
• Assess patient mobility limitations and physical capabilities
• Prioritize patient safety and identify contraindications or concerns for technologist review
• Support patient preparation and transport as needed
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and departments to provide patient-focused care
• Scan pertinent documents and technologist notes into PACS
• Assist in expediting patient throughput and successive imaging services

Qualifications

• Education- High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Experience- Experience in an acute care hospital or medical office setting preferred
• Knowledge & Skills- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and varying medical conditions; Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities; Commitment to patient safety and quality care; Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented healthcare environment; Basic computer and documentation skills preferred
