Medical Equipment Technician
About the role
The Medical Equipment Technician is responsible for delivering and assembling medical equipment and supplies, educating patients and caregivers, and completing various warehouse tasks. This role supports the company's commitment to providing exceptional service and maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Delivers medical equipment and supplies, educates patients and caregivers on use, maintenance, and benefits.
- Maintains compliance logs and records per policy and procedure.
- Ensures compliance with laws such as HIPAA, Joint Commission, FDA, OSHA, ORCB, state pharmacy boards, state respiratory boards, state departments of transportation, and infection control guidelines.
- Reports any compliance or safety issues to the manager.
- Supports and trains new technicians as needed.
- Identifies patient needs and revenue opportunities and communicates them to customer service representatives.
- Supports vehicle maintenance by unloading and cleaning vehicles daily.
- Completes daily and quarterly maintenance manifests as required.
- Maintains warehouse, inventory levels, and equipment cleanliness and repair according to policy and procedure.
- Works after-hours on-call shifts as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Residential delivery driver experience.
- Customer service experience in a medical/insurance/healthcare setting.
- Valid driver’s license with a qualified driving record.

- Physical stamina to handle lifting and moving equipment.

Schedule
This is a full-time position with normal hours of work from Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Periodic after-hours (overnight and weekend) on-call shifts may be required.
