Medical Director - Vascular Surgery - Remote

For our client, we are seeking a Medical Director - Vascular Surgery - Remote to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This physician leadership role focuses on clinical coverage reviews and medical decision-making related to vascular surgery, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based determinations, benefit interpretation, and regulatory compliance. The position partners closely with internal teams and requesting providers to ensure accurate, timely coverage decisions that support high-quality care and appropriate utilization. Remote work offers flexibility while maintaining active involvement in peer-to-peer discussions, call coverage, and clinical communication. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $248,500 – $373,000 annually Responsibilities Conduct coverage reviews based on member benefit plans and coverage policies Document clinical review findings in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements Engage in peer-to-peer discussions with requesting providers as needed Interpret benefit language and policies for clinical coverage reviews Participate in daily clinical rounds as requested Collaborate with providers on accurate benefit determinations and educate them on benefit plans Communicate effectively with other internal partners Fulfill call coverage rotation duties Qualifications M.D. or D.O. required Board certification in General Surgery from ABMS or AOA with vascular surgery experience Active unrestricted medical practice license 5+ years of clinical practice experience post-residency Strong knowledge of Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) Experience in vascular surgeries and procedures Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel Willingness to participate in call coverage rotation Benefits Comprehensive benefits package Incentive and recognition programs Equity stock purchase options 401k contribution plan Career development opportunities Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
