Medical Director - Vascular Surgery - Remote (West Coast)

For our client, we are seeking a Medical Director - Vascular Surgery - Remote (West Coast) to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will provide medical leadership for clinical coverage reviews and benefit determinations in a highly regulated healthcare environment. The Medical Director will work closely with requesting providers, internal clinical partners, and operational stakeholders to ensure reviews are timely, accurate, and aligned with plan guidelines. This position also supports daily clinical rounds as needed and contributes to consistent evidence-based decision-making across the organization. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $248,500 – $373,000 annually Responsibilities Conduct coverage reviews based on member plan benefits Document clinical review findings and outcomes per policies Engage in peer-to-peer discussions with requesting providers Interpret benefit language during clinical coverage reviews Participate in daily clinical rounds as needed Collaborate with providers for timely benefit determinations Communicate with internal partners and participate in call coverage rotation Qualifications M.D. or D.O. degree required Board certification in General Surgery with Vascular Surgery experience Active unrestricted medical license 5+ years of clinical practice post-residency Strong understanding of Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) Experience performing vascular surgeries Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel Benefits Comprehensive benefits package Incentive and recognition programs Equity stock purchase options 401k contribution Remote work flexibility from anywhere in the U.S. Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
