Medical Director, Population Health & Clinical Governance - Remote

For our client, we are seeking a Medical Director, Population Health & Clinical Governance to join the team of a leader in the Media space. This role will guide clinical oversight for population health initiatives and ensure care programs are aligned with rigorous governance and quality standards. The position partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Data Science, Product, Clinical, and Pharmacy Informatics teams, to shape decision support and program design. The work will emphasize preventive care, chronic condition management, compliance risk reduction, and the integration of health equity into care models. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $180,000 – $220,000 annually Responsibilities Lead clinical review and approval of population health program processes Ensure clinical workflows meet NCQA and accreditation standards Participate in audits and quality reviews as needed Oversee chronic condition management and preventive care programs Align clinical content with national guidelines and preventive care recommendations Collaborate with Clinical and Pharmacy Informatics teams on decision support tools Provide clinical input in program design and enhancement Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license Minimum 5 years of post-residency clinical experience 2–4 years of experience in population health or care management environments Experience supporting NCQA-aligned programs preferred Exposure to clinical informatics or digital health tools preferred Benefits Collaborative and innovative work environment Opportunity for hands-on leadership in clinical governance Engagement with cross-functional teams including Data Science and Product Commitment to quality standards and reducing compliance risk Focus on integrating health equity into care models Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
