Medical Director-Peptide Therapeutics

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior clinical authority for LumiMeds' peptide therapeutics programs, ensuring excellence in patient care, clinical quality, and safety.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine evidence-based clinical protocols for peptide therapies across metabolic health, longevity, regenerative medicine, and other therapeutic indications.
  • Evaluate emerging scientific literature, clinical studies, and real-world evidence to guide treatment protocols and clinical decision-making.
  • Provide medical leadership for the introduction of new peptide therapies and expansion into additional clinical service lines.
  • Recruit, onboard, mentor, and supervise physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants to ensure consistent, evidence-based prescribing practices.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations governing telehealth, prescribing practices, pharmacy partnerships, and applicable peptide-related therapies.
  • Partner with Product and Technology teams to embed clinical safety measures, treatment algorithms, and decision-support tools into the telehealth platform.
  • Monitor clinical outcomes, adverse events, and quality metrics, leading continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide medical review of patient education materials, provider training resources, and scientific communications.
  • Support strategic partnerships with pharmacies, laboratories, research organizations, and other clinical collaborators.
  • Advise executive leadership on clinical strategy, emerging therapeutic opportunities, and the evolving peptide therapeutics landscape.
  • Represent LumiMeds in scientific discussions, industry collaborations, and professional engagements as needed.

Requirements

  • MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state (multi-state licensure preferred).
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Endocrinology, Obesity Medicine, or another relevant specialty.
  • 7+ years of clinical experience, including significant experience with peptide-based therapies and physician leadership.
  • Demonstrated expertise in prescribing and managing a broad range of peptide therapeutics, including metabolic, regenerative, longevity, and other evidence-based peptide treatment protocols.
  • Experience evaluating emerging clinical research and translating scientific evidence into clinical protocols and best practices.
  • Experience developing clinical guidelines, treatment pathways, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Prior experience serving as a Medical Director or in another physician leadership role within a healthcare organization, telehealth platform, specialty practice, or innovative care model.
  • Experience supervising physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, or distributed clinical teams.
  • Strong understanding of telehealth regulations, prescribing compliance, clinical governance, and healthcare quality standards.
  • Familiarity with clinical research, protocol development, and the evolving regulatory landscape surrounding peptide therapeutics is highly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
