About the role
Support Intelas’ medical-device integration initiatives by configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting integrations within Intelas’ framework. Collaborate with Biomedical Engineering, Clinical and Operational leaders, IT teams, Application Owners, and Security and Risk Management to deliver enterprise-wide projects and respond to medical-device vulnerabilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with medical-device integration implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and testing projects.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to complete integration projects, testing, and verification.
- Record and verify networking, security, and integration details for medical devices.
- Bridge Biomedical Engineering, IT, application owners, and clinical operations to resolve complex integration and networking challenges across a multi-facility health system.
- Respond to and resolve assigned medical-device integration and cybersecurity work orders while keeping client teams and end users informed.
- Implement cybersecurity risk-mitigation measures, including applying patches, software updates, and device configurations.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards for patient safety and medical-device management.
- Assist in implementing medical-device security requirements to protect PHI.
- Participate in medical-device projects and update meetings.
- Troubleshoot network connections in collaboration with the IT department.
- Document work and issue resolution in the CMMS system, ensuring detailed periodic notes.
- Document technical networking and integration parameters for network-connected medical devices.
- Maintain defined KPIs and performance metrics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare technology management or healthcare IT.
- Hands-on experience with a wide variety of medical equipment and systems.
- Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of healthcare experience, with general knowledge of Biomedical and Diagnostic Imaging.
- Knowledge of healthcare communications protocols such as DICOM and HL7.
- Experience with connected medical-device asset discovery and risk-analysis platforms.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Biomedical Engineering required.
