What You Will Do

  • Service customers and support Field Sales Representatives in processing and controlling orders through internal and external communications to satisfy customer needs and attain departmental objectives.
  • Answer inbound telephone calls and inquiries from existing customers and prospects.
  • Process all orders and expedites.
  • Process customer complaints in a timely manner to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Update customer profiles regularly when changeovers occur at existing customers and establish new customer profiles.
  • Upsell and cross-sell to customers by offering alternative solutions and ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively review backorder reports and communicate with the Value Stream team to support production planning and timely order processing.
  • Make outbound calls to existing customers using customer listings provided by the Team Leader.
  • Prepare customer freight quotes in coordination with Logistics personnel.
  • Provide post-shipment follow-up and shipment tracking as needed to ensure personalized customer service.
  • Support all quality improvement programs.
  • Control and maintain stock and custom products in accordance with customer commitments, contracts, and inventory guarantees.
  • Collaborate with the International Customer Service Representative to achieve monthly and quarterly shipment goals, as appropriate.
  • Support and perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Team Leader.

Requirements

  • Required customer service or sales experience.
  • Manufacturing Customer Service experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Ability to function positively and accurately under pressure.
  • Ability to organize and handle multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining high volume.
  • Ability to objectively evaluate and analyze complex customer-related problems.
  • Ability to work independently; self-starter.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills on the phone, in Teams meetings, and via email.
  • Ability to deal effectively with others on the team.
  • High energy level.
  • Must portray a positive, professional image and attitude.
  • Ability to accept criticism and use it for constructive means.
  • Knowledge of computers and computer literacy required on standard business software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is $20–$24/hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
