Medical Coordinator - RN

Responsibilities

• Obtain and report information to assist the Provider in assessing, planning, and evaluating patient needs.
• Participate in the development of the patient's care plan.
• Participate in delegating and providing direct care based on patient needs and established goals.
• Document nursing interventions and responses to care.
• Communicate nursing interventions and responses to appropriate members of the healthcare team.
• Perform patient-related activities, medication administration, diagnostic testing, therapeutic treatments under the direction of the Provider.
• Renew medications and handle prior authorizations under the Provider's direction.
• Triage phone calls and follow up with post-operative calls.
• Support and participate in quality initiatives.
• Maintain accountability for professional competency and demonstrate knowledge and critical thinking to promote optimal patient care.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
