Role Overview

Leverage your expertise in medical coding and health information management to evaluate coding accuracy, compliance, and workflow effectiveness across complex healthcare documentation and reimbursement processes.

What You Will Be Doing

• Review coding assignments involving ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT/HCPCS, and DRG methodologies for accuracy and compliance
• Conduct coding quality audits and identify opportunities for accuracy and process improvement
• Evaluate coding workflows, productivity metrics, and operational performance indicators
• Collaborate with documentation, billing, and compliance stakeholders to address revenue integrity challenges
• Provide structured feedback on coding outputs, guideline adherence, and documentation quality

Who We Are Looking For

• Experienced medical coding professionals with leadership experience in coding operations or health information management
• Strong expertise in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT/HCPCS, DRG assignment, and official coding guidelines
• Background in professional fee coding, inpatient facility coding, or both
• Proficiency with coding technologies, audit processes, and healthcare documentation systems
• Relevant credentials such as CPC, CCS, RHIA, RHIT, or equivalent are highly valued

Role Details

• Compensation: $80 per hour
• Work style: Fully remote, flexible independent contract
• Duration: Ongoing project-based engagement
