About the role

Bayview Physicians Group is a rapidly growing, outpatient multi-specialty medical group committed to excellence, collaboration, and employee well-being. They are seeking a Certified Professional Coder (CPC or CPC-A) to join their Medical Billing team.

Responsibilities

• Review charge tickets, progress notes, and operative reports to assign accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
• Analyze and correct denied claims requiring coding review across multiple specialties
• Collaborate with billing and coding teams to ensure clean claims and timely reimbursement
• Maintain required annual AAPC CEUs
• Assist with special projects as assigned

Requirements

• Active Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Professional Coder – Apprentice (CPC-A) credential required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Team player with a positive, professional attitude
• Self-motivated and eager to learn and grow
• General knowledge of standard office equipment and computer systems
• Prior medical office experience a plus
