Medical/Church Planter – Chad

Use your medical experience and training to engage in church planting that holistically ministers to the people of Chad. Share the gospel with those you connect with and help them grow spiritually. We are looking for people with medical training and experience to join our holistic church-planting teams working in the Guera region. This role will benefit the spiritual, physical, and economic well-being of local communities. Working collaboratively, the ideal candidate will provide medical care in their area of expertise that will bless an unreached community. The Ideal Candidate Will Have Training or experience in Muslim ministry, evangelism, and discipleshipA heart to focus on the spiritual journey of people while addressing their physical realitiesTraining or experience in the medical field (e.g., midwifery, nursing, community health, dentistry) with the willingness and ability to adapt skills to local realities.Good language learning skillsGrit: ability to live in a challenging environment. The Guera region is hot and dry for much of the year, while during the rainy season, the desert blooms—but travel becomes more challenging. Many comforts common in the developed world are non-existent, intermittent, or costly. Despite these challenges, the unreached people are very hospitable, and the government is appreciative of missionaries. This role involves serving the local people and building strong relationships with all stakeholders, creating opportunities to share the gospel individually and as a team. Learn the local language to cultivate deep interpersonal relationships with an unreached people group.Collaborate well with teammates and national church missionaries and leaders to develop strong relationships with an unreached people group that will serve as a platform for sharing the gospel.Develop good relationships with local leaders to learn about local challenges and needs, serving the community with your expertise.Partner well with the national church’s medical work, other medical initiatives, and government officials to promote good medical care. An intermediate level of French will be needed to accomplish this.
