About the Role
Talladega Superspeedway, created as a palace of speed in 1969 by NASCAR founder Bill France, Sr., is known as “the Greatest Racetrack in the World.” At 2.66 miles with 33 degrees of banking in the turns, it is NASCAR’s most competitive venue and hosts two major NASCAR weekends annually. This temporary, event-based position involves administering quality medical care to guests, staff, and professional racing services participants during events.
Responsibilities
- Perform medical triage and treatment functions consistent with Emergency Medicine standards
- Request and coordinate continuation of care as needed
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- Successfully pass a driving record check
- Complete required online training initially and annually
- Strong communication skills
- Maintain professional work ethic and appearance
- Abide by HIPAA at all times
- Reliable transportation to and from the track location
- Positive attitude
Qualifications
Medical Care Center Doctor
- Current Alabama Medical License
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Advanced airway skills required
- Current AHA (or equivalent) BLS certification
- Current AHA (or equivalent) ACLS certification
Medical Care Center Nurse
- Current unencumbered Alabama Nursing License
- Currently employed in Emergency Department or Critical Care setting
- Current AHA (or equivalent) BLS certification
- Current AHA (or equivalent) ACLS certification
Preferred Certifications (Nurse)
- Current AHA (or equivalent) PALS certification
- Current TNCC
- Current ENPC
X-Ray Technician
- Current Alabama license/certification
