Medical Breast Specialist

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Breast Center seeks a Medical Breast Specialist to join its growing team. The role focuses on outpatient medical breast care, including evaluation and management of benign breast disease, comprehensive risk assessment, care of patients at elevated or hereditary risk, and survivorship care. The physician will work in a hybrid academic‑community setting at Breast Center locations, have no call responsibilities, participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, obtain an academic appointment (Assistant, Associate, or Professor) at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, and be encouraged to engage in clinical research.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage benign breast disease.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessment.
• Provide care for patients at elevated or hereditary breast cancer risk.
• Deliver survivorship care.
• Lead evaluation and management of non‑surgical breast conditions while collaborating with Breast Surgery on operative care.
• Participate in the teaching rotation for medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Engage in clinical research and work with research coordinators.
• Maintain an academic appointment as Assistant, Associate, or Professor at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.

Requirements

• Board‑certified physician.
• Outpatient experience in medical breast.
• Strong interest in women's health.
• Experience in primary or ambulatory care.
• Commitment to collaborative, patient‑centered care.
• Eligible from specialties such as Breast Surgery, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Gynecology.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain an academic appointment (Assistant, Associate, or Professor) at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western University School of Medicine.
• Willingness to participate in clinical research and teaching activities.
