Medical Billing Team Lead

About the role

The medical billing team lead at Physician Services USA is responsible for supervising a large billing team in ensuring accurate billing, timely submission of electronic and/or paper claims, monitoring claim status, researching rejections and denials, documenting related account activities, posting adjustments and collections of Medicare, Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Care, and commercial insurance payers. Essential functions include leading monthly one-on-one meetings with assigned staff, discussing billers' productivity, accuracy, and professional development, assisting in remedying any outstanding billing issues, identifying problems and assisting in corrective action/recommend solutions, providing direction and oversight to help improve day-to-day operations, providing coaching and development for staff, identifying and resolving billing queries/problems, assisting with special client projects, assisting with testing, training, and implementation of new office procedures, conducting interviewing for open positions within your team and providing feedback, completing other duties at the discretion of management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Medical billing management experience of 1 year preferred
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Regularly sit, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, and hear
• Occasionally stand and walk
• Close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus required

• Manage qualifying collection agency accounts, if applicable

$18.32 - $22.06 per hour
