Medical Billing Collector - Remote (Florida)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our billing team. You will focus entirely on Orthopedics and Spine specialties. This position is 100% remote but must be in Florida and have a private, HIPAA compliant home office space with high-speed internet.

Key Responsibilities

• Claim Submission: Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance companies electronically.
• Coding Verification: Review ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for orthopedic and spine surgeries.
• Denial Management: Identify denial patterns, file appeals, and resolve claim discrepancies.
• AR Follow-Up: Monitor accounts receivable reports and pursue unpaid claims past 30 days.

Required Qualifications

• Location: Must currently reside in the state of Florida.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of medical billing experience specifically in Orthopedics and Spine.
• Software: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW).
• Surgical Knowledge: Strong understanding of complex spine surgery coding, global periods, and modifiers (e.g., modifiers 51, 59, 62).
• Workspace: A dedicated, quiet home office with high-speed internet.
