Medical Biller

About the role

We’re looking for an organized, customer‑focused team member to support our team as a Medical Biller. In this role, you'll be responsible for all billing of Medicare, Commercial insurance, and patients.

Responsibilities

• Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
• Submits claims and posts payments on NextGen system in a timely manner
• Monitors, investigates, and resolves all rejected and delinquent claims
• Documents phone calls and other follow up activities on outstanding accounts
• Performs collection activities and coordinates accounts receivable in a logical and effective manner
• Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance
• Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• 2-3 years work related experience
• Knowledge and understanding of revenue cycle management and accounts receivable
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Pay

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the compensation range for this position is USD $16.00 to USD $24.00.
