We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and experienced full time Medical Biller to join our team and support our billing and revenue cycle operations at our office in Massapequa, NY The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of medical billing, insurance verification, claims processing, and payment reconciliation. Experience in behavioral health or psychiatric billing is highly preferred. This position requires excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate professionally with patients, insurance companies, and internal team members. Key Responsibilities Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, coverage, copays, deductibles, and authorization requirements. Medical Billing & Coding: Review billing documentation and ensure accurate use of ICD10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for psychiatric services. Claims Processing: Prepare, submit, and track insurance claims to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement. Denial Management: Investigate rejected or denied claims, resolve discrepancies, and submit corrections or appeals when necessary. Payment Posting: Accurately post insurance and patient payments, adjustments, and writeoffs to patient accounts. Account Reconciliation: Review patient accounts, reconcile payments, and identify outstanding balances or payment discrepancies. Patient Billing & Collections: Generate billing statements, follow up on outstanding balances, and assist patients with billing questions and payment arrangements. Insurance Communication: Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve coverage, authorization, payment, and claimsrelated issues. Provider Credentialing: Assist with provider credentialing, recredentialing, and maintaining accurate insurance enrollment records. Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate billing records and ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer requirements, and applicable healthcare regulations. Qualifications Previous experience in medical billing, insurance claims processing, or revenue cycle management. Experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, or outpatient medical billing preferred. Knowledge of ICD10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. Familiarity with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid billing procedures. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management systems. Strong understanding of insurance eligibility, claims followup, denial management, and payment posting. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work efficiently in a fastpaced healthcare environment.
