Medical Biller
Description
We are seeking a skilled Medical Biller to support accurate and timely revenue cycle operations for a temp-to-perm opportunity. The role requires knowledge of the full billing cycle, including claim submission, payment posting, denial resolution, and patient account management.
Key Responsibilities
- Submit electronic and paper claims as required.
- Review and resolve claim denials, escalating issues when necessary.
- Post payments promptly and accurately.
- Use payer websites to review claims, appeal denials, and confirm payment status.
- Manage patient balances, establish payment arrangements, and respond to inquiries.
- Update insurance information and verify active patient coverage.
- Answer incoming calls to assist patients or clinic staff with billing questions.
- Provide backup within the billing team as needed.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience.
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans is a plus.
- Solid understanding of revenue cycle operations.
- Comfortable navigating payer portals and practice management systems.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
