Medical Biller
Position Summary
Position will be responsible for Assisting with the processing of claims for participants in the agency's Community Service programs and Education Program, assuring that the agency is accurately capturing client and student billing information. In addition, this position will be responsible for assisting in maintaining and reconciling social security funds for the individuals who reside in the agency's residences and any records related to Tuition and Evaluation billing.
Essentialfunctions
- Enter Medicaid billing/claims in Millin Software according to OPWDD guidelines.
- Absorb communication with community service program staff to ensure proper documentation for our individuals in our residencies.
- Record revenue in Sage lntacct financial system.
- Post monthly cash receipts and record payments in Accounts Receivable.
- Quarterly reconcile revenue billed based on Medicaid rates to general revenue accounts.
- Absorb Monthly review of Accounts Receivable aging report.
- Absorb and be primary Backup for Social Security Payments for residents in Community Service programs.
- Absorb and assist in Tuition and Evaluation Billing.
- Secondary Functions
General Accounting
- Absorb assistance with journal entries, AP adjustments, accruals, schedules and month end closing procedures.
- Absorb assist in annual financial audit.
- Ad-Hoc Projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or related field is required.
- Experience: 3 years of experience in billing and accounts receivable. Experience with Medicaid billing a plus.
