About the role

Infusion Solutions of Delaware (ISD) is seeking an experienced, dependable Medical Biller to focus primarily on claims posting and follow-up, denial management, and patient billing. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, persistent in resolving denials, attentive to reimbursement accuracy, and committed to maintaining an efficient and patient-friendly billing process.

Responsibilities

• Post and reconcile insurance payments, adjustments, and denials accurately.
• Assist with Prior Authorizations.
• Review outstanding and denied claims and take appropriate action to obtain payment.
• Research denial reasons and submit corrected claims, reconsiderations, or appeals as appropriate.
• Follow up with insurance carriers regarding unpaid, underpaid, or incorrectly processed claims.
• Identify recurring denial or reimbursement issues and escalate trends when appropriate.
• Generate and send patient statements.
• Review patient balances and respond to patient billing questions.
• Correct billing errors and maintain accurate account documentation.
• Work with authorization, clinical, and administrative staff to resolve claim issues.
• Maintain timely and accurate follow-up on assigned accounts while protecting patient confidentiality and complying with HIPAA requirements.

Requirements

• Prior medical billing or healthcare revenue-cycle experience.
• Experience with insurance claim follow-up and denial management strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare and commercial insurance billing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
• Comfortable communicating with insurance companies and patients regarding billing matters.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage a workload independently and follow issues through to resolution.
• Experience with electronic medical records and practice-management/billing systems preferred.
