About the Role
As a Medical Assistant in the Women's Health OB/GYN & Imaging Center at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, you will assist in all aspects of patient flow throughout the department. This is a full-time day shift position.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and manage patient flow
- Pull and file charts
- Type forms and prepare documentation for transmission
- Answer telephones
- Assist physicians, physician’s assistants, registered nurses, and technical staff in various aspects of patient care
Schedule
- Monday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successful completion of an approved Medical Assistant program
- Excellent judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to deal effectively with all levels of staff
- Superior customer service skills and a strong commitment to providing an outstanding patient experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Medical Assistant experience
